Liv is my favorite protagonist, combined with the Atlantis lore and the documentary aspect, makes this a near perfect book for me. This is the reason why I skimmed read this book, I was annoyed to read Olive’s thoughts every time she is looking at Theo. I blew the ends of my sweaty bangs out of my eyes and attempted yet another ponytail, but my chin-length hair was too short. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but it was compared to Mamma Mia so I figured why not! Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

In the end it did come together, but it took awhile to get to that payoff, and I still had a few issues. Theo isn’t necessarily a new fictional crush of mine and I wouldn’t say him and Liv are my new YA power couple, but I didn’t mind their relationship. She's sweaty, probably can smell herself, in need of a good sleep, her whole body aches because airplane chairs are the worst and Theo meets her. Italy was an easy one and Ireland, too, but this time around I wanted to choose somewhere I’d never been. ABOUT THE BOOK: Anna Green thought she was marrying Liam “West” Weston for access to subsidized family housing while at UCLA.

Liv soon learns that her father has a chance to film a documentary about Atlantis for National Geographic, and he’s brought her to Greece to be his art director. The story centers around Olive Varanakis, who’s rebranded herself as “Liv” to fit in with the popular crowd at school.Since this book was set in Greece, and Liv was stuck with Theo, I wish we got to see more scenes with two teenagers having fun time exploring Greece, instead of working all the time. This metaphor for looking for lost things was emphasized in the story, and it was a beautiful, powerful message.

She then arrived in the beautiful country, reunited with her father, met new people, including his father's assistant, Theo, and most importantly, she discovered… a lot. On the plus side, the side characters helped bring some life to the otherwise lackluster cast; I definitely could've used more of Bapou and his magical cakes, Geoffrey the Giant Canadian and his imaginary girlfriend, and even Liv's little brother who appeared for like two seconds.

When I’d transformed from Olive to Liv, I’d scoured hundreds of style videos before finally landing on the ones that I thought I might be able to pull off—French-girl style. Her travel experience gives her the confidence to break up with her boyfriend, and she learns that closing herself off to other perspectives means she's missing a full perspective. As the project progresses, Liv uncovers truths about her father and their life together before he left. Theo really grew on me by the end- even though it took some time for me to get past his forwardness 😂. The blue-domed white buildings, the curve of the Santorini caldera, the stunning sunsets that the island is known for.

You don’t have to read the other ones to understand this book; they’re all more connected by the theme of the protagonists finding themselves and love in a European country. My eye snagged on a red-cheeked garden gnome planted in the flower bed of a yard we were passing, and I found myself praying to it out of sheer desperation. It’s messy, it’s complicated, and while yes, trying to find a mythical island with your parent might not be the most realistic setting, their relationship did feel realistic for both its somberness and hope. I really didn’t like that he filmed her without her permission and ignored her when she asked him to stop. We're all about food that is approachable but still impressive, unique and creative yet still true to its culinary roots. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. People and events aren't black or white, more than one thing can be true about them at the same time. Side note: maybe it's the Mamma Mia lover in me but the whole time I was just like "yes, run away to Greece. I think the way the story explored the reasons why he disappeared and why he’d wanted to be a part of Liv’s life again were ultimately satisfying. Honestly, this goes well for Sunny much longer than I expected, and it definitely sucked for him when he started to have stronger feelings for Cirrus.
